Our platform combines three pillars—legal expertise, explainable artificial intelligence, and technological sovereignty—to create a new standard for intellectual property protection in Europe. We see a future where IP practice is no longer slowed down by tedious tasks, but elevated to a strategic advantage. That’s why we’ve built a platform of sovereign AI agents, designed to industrialize the protection of innovation in a dynamic, competitive world.

Building a Foundation for Excellence

LIPSTIP was founded by three IP professionals—Nicolas, Ghislain, and Alexander—who shared a vision to revolutionize the world of intellectual property. With deep roots in patent engineering and trademark law at API Conseils, they understood firsthand the challenges practitioners face daily: repetitive tasks, scattered information, and a constant pressure to be faster and more accurate. Instead of settling for the status quo, they set out to build something new: an intelligent system that doesn’t just automate work, but enhances it.

From day one, our approach has been to blend deep legal understanding with advanced AI. We partnered with top academic institutions—like UPPA and CY Cergy—to tap into the latest research and bring fresh, evidence-based ideas into practice. Our headquarters in Hélioparc, at the heart of Béarn’s innovation ecosystem, keeps us close to both our clients and the research community. This spirit of collaboration fuels everything we do: building not just a tool, but a trusted partner for every IP professional.

Scaling Impact through Collaboration and Ambition

Our journey quickly accelerated. We joined the OVHcloud Startup Program, gaining access to powerful, secure European infrastructure that ensures our platform meets the highest standards of reliability and data sovereignty. We also became partners with GENCI (Grand Équipement National de Calcul Intensif), unlocking high-performance computing resources to train our AI models and push the boundaries of data-driven IP protection.

These collaborations allowed us to refine and expand our platform, transforming routine tasks into opportunities for strategic insight. By 2024, LIPSTIP was already in use at a dozen IP law firms, with users reporting productivity gains of 50% to 60%. This is not just a promise—it’s real impact, demonstrated in the daily work of practitioners across Europe.

Our status as a Jeune Entreprise Innovante (JEI), recognized by the French government, reinforces our commitment to R&D and innovation. It’s proof that our mission aligns with a broader European ambition: to secure homegrown innovation and strengthen industrial competitiveness.

Looking ahead, we’re aiming even higher. By 2026, we’re on track to become a standard across Europe, helping practitioners in every sector—particularly in high-stakes fields like AI, robotics, energy, and biotech—to protect their breakthroughs with confidence and precision. Our solutions are designed to plug seamlessly into the workflows of attorneys, law firms, corporate legal departments, and incubators alike.
